Who wants to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Frankfurt?

That's right, a contest with an all-expenses-paid trip to Frankfurt (and flight training with a Lufthansa Cargo pilot) as the first prize. In fact, the second and third prizes also include that trip to Frankfurt. So put on your thinking caps and join in...

But, first, a disclaimer: This is not a Cargo Facts contest. Oh, sure, we do have contests from time to time, but all we ever offer as a prize is coffee and a doughnut. No, this one is sponsored by Lufthansa Cargo -- which explains both the value and location of the prizes -- and it is actually highly interesting. Here's what LH Cargo has to say about it:

• Why this contest?  The Lufthansa Air Cargo Innovation Challenge seeks new and creative ideas for the cargo products and services of tomorrow. This contest focuses especially on generating green solutions as well as new add-on-service ideas to support the customers in their daily processes and as a commitment by Lufthansa to the reduction of its environmental impact.
• What kinds of ideas are being sought?  Within the main categories of green solutions and add on services, entries should fall within the scope of sales, handling, transport and customer service.
  
  
• Who is eligible to enter the contest?  Anyone - who is at least 18 years old and who is not an employee of Lufthansa Cargo or HYVE (relatives of Lufthansa Cargo and HYVE employees are also excluded from participation).

Full details are available on the Lufthansa Cargo contest website and I won't cover them all here, but the basic concept is that a panel of senior executives at Lufthansa cargo will consider all the entries, and select the winning ideas, with prizes going to the top three, as well as a special prize to the contestant whose participation in the discussions on the interactive contest website was most helpful to all participants. The deadline for entries is 19 December, so get on it right away.
