To be fair, I do not have freighter for sale and apparently I will not buy one, however I am interested in the market transactions…

I'm generally not in the market to buy and sell, but often I'm contacted by people who are looking for freighters. Probably because of networking at Cargo Facts and ISTAT.

Charles, is your sense that there are more people looking for freighters today? If so, why?

I have clients in Asia who are looking for 757s and 737s. We heard at Cargo Facts that narrow-body freighters in Asia weathered the storm of recession, and not many were parked. So apparently there is very little idle capacity, and as the market picks up, they're looking for additional aircraft. Of course the age restrictions are a consideration now, so that adds some complexity to finding good aircraft for them.

Mike: I think I saw a note somewhere yesterday that Orix has a couple of 733Fs coming off lease in the next few months. Give me a call later today if you're interested and I'll see what I can find out.
